To create awareness about the various folk art forms of Tamil Nadu, Shri Natesan Vidyasala recently in collaboration with Shukra Dance Academy, had invited several folk artists from various districts of Tamil Nadu, to give performances on 15 different folk art forms.
The professional artists, gave a mind boggling performance on Karagattam, Oyil Attam, Mayil Attam, Silambam, Puli Attam etc., amidst thunderous applause from the audience.
Dr Gayathri Ramachandran, Principal, in her welcome address mentioned that such programs are organised by the school for the younger generations to understand and appreciate the fine arts of the State in particular and Country in general.
She also added that this program is specifically designed for the class 10 and 12 students as audience, to enable them to understand that success happens only through hard work, passion and perseverance. She lauded the efforts of Pratima Viswanathan, Executive Vice Principal, who had organised the entire event for the benefit of students.
