As a part of International School Activities, a team of 24 students and teachers of Shri Natesan Vidyasala MHSS, Mannivakkam, near Tambaram, headed by Dr N Ramasubramanyan, Founder of the school and Principal Dr. (Mrs.)Gayathri Ramachandran, visited the partner schools in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos for an educational and cultural exchange program.
The visit to the Huu Dinh School at Vietnam, 10 January 1979 High School at Siam Reap and Vientiane High School at Laos, were aimed at sharing some of the best teaching practices, understanding each country's tradition and culture.
Apart from the schools visit, Team Natesan visited several important places like Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, Central post office, independence palace, Cu Chi Tunnel, Vietnam War Remnants Museum, Cam Thanh water coconut village, floating market, Kymer Rouge Killing Fields, Tuol Sleng Genocide Musuem, Cambodian Royal Palace, Pha Tat Luang, Patuxai, Wat Si Saket, Haw Phra Kaew, Wat Si Muang and many more significant places at Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. The team were spellbound watching the very famous AO show at Vietnam and the traditional Cambodian dance show at Cambodia. They took heritage walk around the world famous UNESCO World Heritage site Angor Wat, Angor Thom, Ta Prohm and Bayon.
The team, back home, are presenting their travelogue to a larger audience of teachers and students as an exhibition, to highlight some of the takeaways from the trip that could be implemented at the school.
